  1. Hum.. Subnanometer resolution is possible for some time now..This is more a problem of preparing a single molecule than a problem of resolution.

    Maybe you should check images from free electron lasers (FEL, like the FLASH at DESY).. they try to image the reaction-kinetics in molecules. So not only an image of the atoms, but a movie of where the atoms move during a reaction..
